Agenda March 3 (MOD Whitehall) 0900-1200         Registration at MOD Whitehall + Updates from nations 1200-1330         Lunch 1330-1400         Change of chairmanship discussion and decision about chairmanship. 1400-1700         Report on MODAF Ontological Data Exchange Model (MODEM) phase 1 and 2 from Sweden (Lars-Olof Kihlström)   March 4 (CISCO Bedfont Lakes) 1000-1130         Discussion on IDEAS future POW for 2011 and way forward – identifying decisions and future meetings needed. Request from NC3A. 1200-1300         Lunch 1300-1430         Discussions with emphasis on IDEAS management decision making over TP involving Brian and/or Mike. 1430                    Close of meeting

Activities until now SweAF AF development IPT (planning for solution and change management as another dimension; August 2010 -> February 2011) Support to NORDEFCO future modelling (training of facilitators in methodology (Force Development Framework (FDF)) Building sponsorship (awareness + desire) Study on architecture governance as a part of corporate governance MODEM Article about Defence EA in one of Sweden’s major newspapers

Activities for the future Our current priority is to operationalize what we have. Get traction within the HQ (mandate and resources to start up a EA Program office + a framework office) Limited development efforts Support the Chief of the Joint Development Department with a major re-organization of his department (operationalize what we have) considering a much larger responsibility for him.

MODEM The funding situation for future contractor expert support (Lars-Olof) is distressing. No forecast can be given today if and when this will be solved. Funding for my participation at management level in IDEAS is available. We hope that UK MOD can fund the expert support needed for the finalization of the remaining 40-35% of MODEM during 2011.
