Today we will distinguish and interpret words with multiple meanings. Learning Objective Today we will distinguish and interpret words with multiple meanings. Reading Standard: Word Analysis 1.6

What are we distinguishing today? Today “we are distinguishing _____________________.”

Why is it important to be able to tell the difference between words with multiple meanings? Good readers must be able to identify which words have more than one meaning. Knowing that words have more than one meaning will help you to understand the text.

Multiple Meaning Words are words that have several meanings. I went for a run this morning. Barack Obama will run for the Presidency one more time.
