Lesson plan Overview Students use Gubb when working on a literary analysis. Objective The student should perfectly understand the contents and if they don’t know, they could use Gubb to find the information and comprehend it. Also they can use it to schedule their work for the project. Standards Indiana State Standard 12.3.5: Analyze and evaluate works of literary or cultural significance in American, English, or world history that: reflect a variety of genres in the major periods in literature. were written by important authors in each historical period. reveal contrasts in major themes, styles, and trends in these historical periods. reflect or shed light on the seminal philosophical, religious, social, political, or ethical ideas of their time. Materials A text book and a computer which is able to access the internet. Procedure 1. Students are told they have a literary analysis to complete. 2. Because they have a lot of work to do, they should note their “things to do” by using Gubb. 3. They go and find Gubb’ . 4. They write ‘to do list’ and daily planner to write what to do that day. 5. They can use ‘daily reminder’ to check the date that they should submit homeworks, or rough drafts, etc. 6. They can also use ‘meeting plans’ menu to check the dates that are important to meet deadlines. Evaluation “Gubb” can be a very useful medium to list their ‘to do list’.
