Local Church Events Pre-registration alleviates the hassle of long wait times during on-site registration. The 110th Annual Session of the SCBCCE is swiftly approaching, take advantage of the opportunity to register in advance. Please note the following: Pre-registration will allow you to register for the designated course of choice but doesn't require an online payment you may select the option of mailing in or pay on-site. All mailed checks must be received prior to the Annual Session. The fee for delegates attending the Congress is $20.00, Youth are included. Only one delegate is included in the Church/Association/District fee all others pay the Delegate fee. Feel free to email your registration no later than July 5, 2016. The Greenville Branch of the NAACP will not have a July 2016 Membership Meeting. The Greenville Branch of the NAACP #5522 Box 2326 Greenville, SC 29602 Rev. J. M. Flemming, President 1st VP, Rev. Jonnie Terry - 2nd VP, Mr. Patrick Prince - Sec., Mrs. Georgianna Taylor - Asst. Sec., Kate Franch - Treasurer, Ms. Jessie Wofford - Asst. Treasurer, Mrs. Carrie Wilson The Greenville Branch will host our annual Life Members Breakfast on Saturday, August 13th at 8:30am, Fuller Normal Industrial Institute. Chair is Mrs. Jessie Wofford (864-269-6547). Tickets are $15 and are available. The Greenville Branch wants the community to join and help us as we conduct Voter Registration drives for the November Election.

The Greenville Branch of the NAACP will not have a July 2016 Membership Meeting. The Branch is honored to sponsor 9 youth who will compete in the 2016 ACT-SO Olympics at the National NAACP Convention in Ohio July 14 -16. ACT-SO stands for the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics and includes 26 competitions in sciences, humanities, business, and performing and visual arts. In 2015, one of our ACT-SO Olympians, Olivia Hopkins, won a Gold Medal in Dance. This was the first ever Gold Medal won by this Branch and any other Upstate Branch in more than 37 years of the ACT-SO competition. The ACT-SO Coordinator is Truman Humbert, an award winning Speech and Debate Coach in the history of Speech and Debate Programs in Greenville County Schools. The Greenville Branch of the NAACP asks for continued prayers and support for the Pastor and Members of Union Baptist Church at the recent loss of their sanctuary.
