3 TPPTA Mission Statement
Temple’s Pre Physical Therapy Association (TPPTA) provides a structured network of resources that will equip Pre-Physical Therapy students with information and experiences that will aid in their pursuance in attending an accredited Physical Therapy Graduate program. TPPTA coordinates interactive group activities, promotes participation in various community service events, provides guest speakers, hosts informational workshops and offers many other valuable learning opportunities.

4 Membership Requirements
To be considered a full member of TPPTA, the following must be met: 3 General Body Meetings Attend 1 Volunteer/ Community Service event Dues: $10 for one semester OR $15 for the full year We are happy to accommodate schedule conflicts with the requirements!

7 Collecting funds We will be using transactions in the Venmo app to collect dues, t-shirt funds, etc. @SethKaufmann in the app to send your funds to TPPTA This keeps most of the funds in one organized location and allows us to track everyone more efficiently When using Venmo, please remember to: Include your name What you are paying for Paying in cash is still an option!

Peanut Butter and Jelly building world record! at the Liacouras Center on September 17th no peanut allergies please Blood Drive (Sept 20th) Rec Fest (Sept 24th) Give Kids Sight Day (Oct 29th)

9 Red Cross Blood Drive Where- HGSC room 217 CD
When- September 20th from 11am-4pm How can you get involved? Volunteer to sit at the registration table Donate blood Both of these opportunities may count towards your service requirement!

10 Rec fest WHEN: Saturday September 24th, 2016 TIME: 1:00PM-5:00PM
WHERE: Carousel House Recreation Center (4300 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA 19131) Rec Fest exposes adults and children with physical and/or developmental disabilities to adaptive sports and activities. As volunteers, you will be assigned some of the following duties: registration, set-up, activity coordination, food preparation and distribution, and more. This is a great opportunity to learn about many of the adaptive programs that exist for individuals with disabilities and experience them firsthand. 1. Make sure you register by Thursday, September 7 to ensure a spot 2. Also you must do so both through the Google Form AND online at

11 Give kids sight day When: Saturday, October 29th, 2016
Where: Jefferson Medical College, Alumni Hall 10th & Locust Philadelphia, PA 19107 Hundreds of children will receive free eye screenings, exams, and glasses during Give Kids Sight Day. Public Citizens for Youth & Children (PCCYC) has sponsored this event and works to improve the lives of our region's children by developing initiatives and advocating for quality health care, child care, public education, and family stability. Volunteers are needed to make this event a big success! Volunteers are needed to help with refraction, vision screening, registration, patient escorting, language interpreters and entertainment. 12 Peer and 3+3 mentor program
Headed by Scott Weiss, we will be attempting to implement this program this semester Pairs underclassmen with an upperclassmen to aid in Professional topics (grad school requirements, shadowing, etc.) Academic topics (biology, kinesiology classes, study habits, etc.) Those upperclassmen who help may gain valuable leadership experience Interested? Make sure to sign up or talk to Scott!
