How We Use it We burn coal to produce electricity. We also burn it to produce heat.

Coal Producers China is the most producer of coal. Half of the worlds coal comes from China China is the most producer of coal.

Advantages Easy to transport Coal produces electricity that is reliable One of the inexpensive fossil fuels in coal

Disadvantages Can increase erosion Can pollute Health hazard

Cool facts Texas uses almost about 100 million tons of coal each year. Trains mostly transport coal. 27 states in the us mine coal. Coal is a dirty energy source.
