Some lessons and recommendations from the Workshop in Brasilia (open to comments) Education and training must be National policies, not government policies. Respond to country vision and be linked to economic and productive development strategies (national and local). Involve all production actors in a systemic and coordinated way in professional training. Strengthen instances of dialogue and participation. Especially involve young people since policy design. Strengthen information systems, diagnostics and labor projections, and effectively use them to define and adapt technical and professional training and education.

Some lessons and recommendations from the Workshop in Brasilia (open to comments) Adapt training to the characteristics of the populations to which it is directed (income profiles) and address the great diversity of youth. Develop a modular approach to technical education and be flexible in content and format (time schedules) Promote the value of professional and technical education as a viable and competitive option for young people. Initiatives to improve youth employment should be framed within a broad set of active labor market policies, with shared and organized actions on labor intermediation, training, hiring incentives , etc.
