You will need to earn all the Mastery Points each week to achieve all the points available in your Syllabus for the Study Plan assignment . 3. Study Plan: Quiz Me 8

Weekly Learning Cycle Step 3: Study Plan FAQ What is the Study Plan?   The Study Plan is a personalized plan, based on your individual needs, generated from the results of your Pre-Test. The plan is a study guide for you to use in preparing to take the weekly Post-Test and course final exam. Each week of this course, you are required to complete your weekly Pre-Test in MyStatLab®, along with a Study Plan assignment. You must complete your weekly Pre-Test before an individualized study plan is generated. Prior to completing the Pre-Test, the Study Plan will contain all available objectives for the week and will not yet be customized per student. What are the benefits of the Study Plan? As you prepare each week to take the weekly Post-Test, review the Study Plan to ensure that you have mastered any concepts you missed on the Pre-Test. This extra step will increase your chance of success on the weekly Post-Test and course final exam. The Study Plan is a second look at concepts you might need to spend some extra time on. How do I submit my Study Plan for points? See the syllabus for instructions on how to notify your facilitator of your study plan completion each week. 3. Study Plan: Quiz Me 9

Weekly Learning Cycle Step 4: Prep for Post Test Prepare for your weekly Post-Test by reviewing your Pre-Test by clicking the button and clicking on Review. 4. Prepare for Post Test: Review Pre-Test

Weekly Learning Cycle Step 4: Prep for Post Test Reviewing the Pre-Test After clicking Review, you will see your Pre-Test exercises with correct answers and the same Help Tools that are available in Practice mode. You will see your correct answers and correct answers for any exercises you answered incorrectly Your can use and tools to understand how to derive the correct answer 4. Prepare for Post Test: Review Pre-Test

Weekly Learning Cycle Step 5: Post Test After reviewing your Pre-Test results and Study Plan work, go to to access your weekly Post-Test Your syllabus assigns a point value for each Post-Test. The percent score you earn on your Post-Test in MyStatLab will be reflected in the amount of points you earn for a grade on that assignment. Example: You earned an 80% on your Post-Test. There are 4 points available for the Post-Test assignment in the syllabus. 80% x 4 points = 3.2 points. So you would earn 3.2 point on that Post-Test. 5. Post Test 5. Post Test:

General FAQs for MyStatLab When I submit work using MyStatLab®, do I also need to submit it to the classroom? No, you only need to complete work in MyStatLab®. By accessing MyStatLab® through the classroom, personal information—IRN, name, course, and instructor—is passed to the instructor’s page in MyStatLab® where he or she can check your achievement and assignment scores.   Do I need to install any software to use MyStatLab®?  You must install the MathXL® player and media plug-ins. Click the Installation Wizard link located in MyStatLab® under the Support tab to begin downloading. Can I submit late work using MyStatLab®? You may submit late assignments in accordance with the Policies document and the course syllabus. FAQ 1 14

General FAQs for MyStatLab What happens if I need to exit a test or final examination in the middle of taking it? Remember, you have only one attempt on the final examination. This is also true for Post-Tests. Once you open a Post-Test or final examination, as long as you do not click the Submit button, you can exit and re-enter the test. When I take a test or final examination, can I skip questions and return to them later? Yes, as long as you are still in the same session and return to the skipped questions before clicking the Submit button. You may not return to a test or final examination after submitting or exiting it. Are there time limits on assignments or on the final examination? No, by default there are no time limits for the assignments or final examination, but you must complete each assessment by the due date. Check your syllabus to make sure your instructor did not establish time limits on the assignments. FAQ 2 15

General FAQs for MyStatLab Am I automatically logged out of MyStatLab® after periods of inactivity? If so, how long does it take? You will be logged out after 3 hours of inactivity. You will also be logged out of an activity if you use the browser’s Back button. If I am kicked out of the system due to power failure, for example, will I be able to return and finish my assessment? Yes. If you are kicked out of the system for whatever reason, you will be able to go back into the system and complete your assessment. The system will save the last problem completed before you were kicked out. Does using MyStatLab® count toward attendance? No. Is MyStatLab® compatible with an Apple® Macintosh® computer? Yes.
