2 New Student Registration 1. Click “Register as a Student”
The User’s Guide is linked from the homepage. Download this to your flash drive or computer. The User’s Guide is linked and downloadable from the homepage.

4 Student Registration 4. Review your information and either click “Yes” to confirm or “No” to go back and make changes.

6 Student Access – Logging into an Assignment
Enter your Login & Password to access each assignment Your password can be auto- ed to you if you forget. You must enter your address during registration Students who have not registered can link to the registration from the “Don’t have a login yet?” button. Homework Manager will prompt you to login each time you access an assignment. This is a safeguard to protect your information as so many students access HM from public computers.

7 Student Access – During the Assignment
“Grade” button grades the Assignment Simple navigation within Homework Assignment The “back,” “next,” and “jump to” buttons serve as a saving function. You may also save your work often with the “Save my work” button. The “Grade” button will grade the entire assignment, not just the question you’re in when you click it.

8 Student Access – During the Assignment
The internal idle clock is set to 60 minutes. If you have Homework Manager open but have been inactive, you will receive a 5-minute warning at 55 minutes. You will be instructed to use the “Next,” “Back,” “Jump To,” or “Save my work” buttons to ensure that your work is not lost . Save work often. If you are inactive in an assignment for 55 minutes, the idle timer warning will appear. At 60 minutes, the assignment will be closed.

NOTE: The “Hint” feature is only available to students using Homework Manager Plus Student Access The “Hint” button opens link to eBook The “Hint” button in the bottom left corner of the screen opens a link out to the eBook of you have purchased Homework Manager Plus. Students who register for HM Plus and access HM on the same computer, with cookies enabled, will link directly to the eBook going forward. If you do your homework from various computers, you’ll be prompted for your username and password accessing the eBook.

10 NOTE: The eBook feature is only available with Homework Manager Plus
Student Access Students can read related content while working on their homework The eBook has many nice features, such as links to company websites, internal links to graphics being referenced, and terminology mouse-overs containing definitions. Note: the eBook is strictly web-based and is not downloadable. With HM Plus in Accounting, students also have access to NetTutor, a live virtual tutor (during designated business hours) and Topic Tackler – a video and powerpoint rendering of the most difficult two or three concepts in each chapter (noted by an icon within eBook and linked out). Links to company websites and to additional study tools.

11 Student Access Once you submit your work, you will receive a final score and can click “View Details” to see side-by-side feedback

Student Access Side-by-side feedback: Incorrect answers are highlighted in yellow and correct answers in green Instructors will also be able to view the side-by-side feedback for every assignment and for each student within the gradebook (they must first run a report for that particular chapter).

13 Student Access – Log Out
Once an assignment is submitted, you can return to the homepage or rework the assignment (when multiple attempts are allowed)
