1.0 PRODUCT OVERVIEW This Presentation will demonstrate in brief how modern vehicle from 1996 model till date could be equipped with hardware that can enable remote management and diagnosis over GLOBACOM Network, and how it can generate more revenue for the GLOBACOM brand. This product can be integrated into the different GLO data plan options, or can be sold to subscribers as independent product and service. This product can serve both individuals and cooperate organizations. Technological innovation in the automobile industry has improved so much in the last two decades in such a way that cars of today and the nearest future are more electronically driven than mechanically. In view of this, the maintenance and management of these new generation vehicles are more complex and need higher precision, which can be done both locally and remotely over a wireless network like the GLO 3G internet. Globacom group owns a submarine fiber optic cable ( The GLO1 cable) that has the ability to cater for the internet need of more than the whole of Nigeria. The capacity of Glo Internet can be useful in the automobile industry for remote vehicle management and diagnosis. Imagine your can refusing to start when you needed to move it, and there is no available technician close-by to assist, or the technician requires assistance to interpret the fault codes generated by the complex vehicle electronics. Imagine a situation where you want to know on your own what is wrong with your vehicle like the check engine light on the dash board, or you need to be sure of what is being fixed on your car. 2.0 Technology and architecture Every standard car produced from 1996 till date is equipped with a standard interface called the OBD (On board Diagnosis) 11 interface standards. The OBD 11 standard interface is directly link to the vehicles ECU (Electronics Control Unit). Every fault that is sensor supported or electronic driven is reported by the ECU via the OBD11 management interface as interpretable codes to aid auto repairs and management. Beyond faults the device that tell more about some important vehicle and usage parameters. There is a small hardware device that can be installed on the vehicle with inbuilt capacity to send fault codes, signals and queries through a mobile internet network (GLO Fast 3G INTERNET) to a software platform installed on a computer device, or even a mobile phone for remote management which will be fully described later. These codes ,signals and queries are sent to the customer over the network as SMS or Emails as they are generated. This device can report over GLO 3G network to the owner of the vehicle or the Autocare technician / engineer all the generated fault codes on the vehicle, and do much more as listed below: Remote fault detection and management Remote automobile control like Lock, Ignition Start and stop, Position detection and Tracking Easy fault detection and interpretation Vehicle Fuel consumption and Driving behaviors like sudden braking and over speeding Speed Limiter and management Vehicle repairs and maintenance tracker

3.0 BENEFITS TO GLOBACOM Millions of new subscribers will be added to GLO network as the product will increase GLOBACOM brand visibility across the country. Additional revenue will be added as customers will pay some fixed monthly fee for the internet service, which can be deducted from their credit or Internet data plan.
