TEST your personal BEST! MAP TEST your personal BEST!

What do YOU know about MAP?

R I T RIT Score Ranges from about 150 - 300 What I al eady know What ‘m ready to learn T What I’m on arget to achieve

Adaptive and Self-Leveling 50% Right 50% Wrong Your RIT 227

Percentile Rank 75th Percentile I performed Answers the question: How well have I done compared to my same-age peers? I performed better than 75% of my same age peers in a national norm group.

Measures my individual growth over time Percentile Rank: Comparing myself to others in my same grade RIT SCORE: Measures my individual growth over time

Can you think of other areas of your life where you push yourself to be better, to do better?

RIT Score for Fall = 238 Measurable: Attainable: Relevant: Time-Bound: Think about what you are capable of and set your sights on a specific number for a goal. I may set my sights on a 245…SPECIFIC! Specific: Measurable: In the Spring, my RIT score increased to 246! I gained 8 points…MEASURABLE! I am glad my goal was realistic! A 30 point goal probably won’t happen. My 7-pt. goal was…ATTAINABLE! Attainable: I want to make sure my goal is related to MAP. Though making a 98 on my Science test is a good idea, it wouldn’t be…RELEVANT! Relevant: MAP is given 3 times a year. The Spring testing date in May is your last chance to hit your target score. This means your goal is… TIME-BOUND! Time-Bound:

Motivation to Achieve… As you grow, people and schools meet you very first as a number Decisions are made based on “that number” Our school district determines your eligibility to participate in various courses, activities and Magnet Programs based on “that number”
