Activities : Lesson 1: Understanding Multiple Intelligence Theory _ Learners will be able to identify the importance of Multiple Intelligence Theory and how it applies to students learning and achievement. _ Activities : Read two articles -Complete Intelligence Test -Participate in Online Discussion

Lesson 2: Understanding Student Background Knowledge, Motivation, and Engagement _ Learners will be able to understand how background knowledge. motivation, and engagement all affect student learning. Learners will read literature on the topic and come up with different strategies to foster learning in the classroom. _ Activities: Students will read articles based on student motivation/engagement Students will participate in online discussion based on topic Students will begin to plan a lesson based on what they are learning.

Learners will be learn about different techniques to facilitate Lesson 3: How to Facilitate Meaningful Discussion About Text _ Learners will be learn about different techniques to facilitate and scaffold discussion in a Social Studies classroom. They will use primary source examples to create a discussion activity for their sample lesson. _ Activities: Read an article dealing with scaffolding and discussions. Participate in online discussion about discussion based learning Create discussion activity using scaffolding techniques.

Lesson 5: Rubrics and Assessment _ In this lesson students will create rubrics and other types of Assessments and will finish up their lesson. _ Activities: Read article about assessments Finish their lessons. Write reflective essay.
