Once upon a time, there was. A bald boy living with his mom Once upon a time, there was ... A bald boy living with his mom.... They were so poor that they hardly had something to eat.

One day the boy went to the forest to pick some mushrooms...

...As soon as he could find some mushrooms, he ate them and then sat under a tree. All of a sudden he looked up and saw a squirrel that was crying.

...He tried to comfort her by telling how sad he was because of his poverty!

Impressed by the boy’s sad story the squirrel decided to give him some help..

... To get rid of his poverty!

The squirrel took him to the Land of the Birds

It was there that the Bald Boy met the Queen of all Birds!

The Queen asked him three questions and explained that if he knows to answer them correctly ,he will get a reward.

The first question was to guess how many cherries were in the cherry tree. The bald boy answered that the number of the cherries was equal to the feathers belonging to the Queen.

It was a correct answer.

The second question was about the center of the world The second question was about the center of the world. The boy answered that the center of the world was that very place!

And he suggested the Queen to measure it! It was a correct answer!

The third question was about the weight of the chestnuts in the neighbourhood.

The boy suggested to have all trees cut down; then the heaviest of all, will sink.

It was a correct answer, too.

The boy had to be rewarded with two pots full of gold.

The boy returned home bringing the gold. His Mom was very happy.

The boy thought about going back to the forest to thank the Squirrel for her help. When he got there he could see the Squirrel crying.

She confessed she was a princess that was bewitched to be a squirrel She confessed she was a princess that was bewitched to be a squirrel .Only the spring water brought from the cave on the KAF MOUNTAINS could break the spell!

At the entrance of the cave he had to fight with some snakes that were guarding it…but he was the winner!

Because of the noise the Dragon came, too!

…It was so big and frightening that the boy thought about sneaking away for the spring water.

… and he managed!

The boy came back and gave the squirrel some water to drink…afterwards she turned into the most beautiful princess in the world!

They went together to the sultan, who was the princess’s father; the sultan welcome them happily.

He was so happy that he gave the Bald Boy all his wealth.

The boy got home and his Mom was so happy to see him back.

That’s all folks!

We thank our grandmothers and mothers for their help!
