Trends In Online Learning Linda Camus Post University EDU505.90 Professor Rebecca Waters

(FLVS) Florida Virtual School Our Mission: To deliver a high quality, technology-based education that provides the skills and knowledge students need for success. Our Vision: To transform education worldwide—one student at a time. Our Commitment: The student is at the center of every decision we make. We have built our school on these beliefs: Every student is unique, so learning should be dynamic, flexible and engaging. Studies should be integrated rather than isolated. Students, parents, community members, and schools share responsibility for learning. Students should have choices in how they learn and how they present what they know. Students should be provided guidance with school and career planning. Assessments should provide insights not only of student progress but also of instruction and curriculum.

Opportunities The Path to Success As always, the path to any future, begins with education. Online resources can be made available to students who are hesitant in pursuing careers within the different areas of the legal industry.

Scenarios and Scanning Scenarios and Scanning are used by futurists to predict how various techniques and educational resources can be beneficial to educators as well as students.

Demand For Online Learning Is On The Rise Since 2006, the there has been a steady trend in the amount of students across various grade levels, to and including colleges and universities who have enrolled in online studies. The demand is high, therefore supplying the necessary tools is essential. A more cost effective and convenient way to learn.

Law Enforcement and Corrections There are many families who have generations of police officers, correctional personnel, or others employed within the many fields available. However, other than what is heard or discussed at the dinner table, little is known about a prospective path. Online educational resources can ease the fear of the unknown and make this a desirable opportunity

Legal Careers Options With more understanding and education, the possibilities are endless for future careers within the legal industry. All a student needs is more information and a little guidance so that they can consider a career outside the traditional box, which offers career advancement.
