What is a URL and what does it stand for? URL is Universal Resource Locator and it is the address of a file accessible on the Internet.

What is an Internet Browser? A program such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer that enables users to view Web pages.

What is an Internet Service Provider? A company, such as Frontier or Road Runner, which provides other companies or individuals with access to, or presence on, the Internet.

What is the difference between a web developer and a web master? A web developer designs and builds a Web site and a web master is responsible for maintaining the web site.

What is a top-level domain name? The last part of the URL that indicates the purpose or location.   For example: .com: .org: .edu: .mil: .gov: .ca: .au
