Applying for HEA Fellowship What you need to submit for the Swansea Application Route

Ready to apply? If you’re familiar with the UK PSF, the requirements and the different categories of Fellowship, then continue watching. If you want to refresh your knowledge of the HEA and UK PSF, look on the SALT website. Have a look at what category of Fellowship is right for you – start with the green box:

What is the Swansea Application Route? The SAR aims to support and enable: Recognition of the contribution of teachers, aligned to the UK PSF A high quality learning, teaching and assessment experience for all students Creativity, innovation and continuing professional development in learning, teaching and assessment for all staff engaged in delivering programmes at all categories, and those supporting learning Evidence of professionalism and excellence in academic practice

Case Studies – Senior Fellows 2 Case Studies, each with minimum word limit of 1000 words, maximum of 1500 words. Total word limit across both 3000 words +/- 10%. Presentation Information All categories of Fellowship Presentation Summary A brief description of what your presentation will cover and how you will be delivering it. Associate Fellows – 20 minute presentation Fellows – 30 minute presentation Senior Fellows – 45 minute presentation Followed by questions. Presentations will be videoed for quality assurance purposes. Will help you and anyone you ask for comment, review if your application is complete. Administrative Elements References You need to submit at least 2 references. At least one should hold the category of Fellowship you seek or higher. One must be a current member of staff at the University. References should be made with explicit consideration to the applicant’s experience as outlined in the UK PSF. You can attend either an information session or self-study the material on Blackboard. You MUST pass a Quiz on the UKPSF before being given access to the Pebble+ application. Complete the Survey on the Bb module to confirm when and in what format you’ll be applying. You’ll be given access to the application form on Pebble+ and allocated a mentor. 1. When do you accept applications? Once you’ve got access to the online application in Pebble+, you can start working on your application. What materials do you need to submit? 1 Your completed application form (using Pebble+ template) 2 Relevant evidence in support of your application 3 Sign-off from your Line Manager 4 Two completed references All of this is submitted through Pebble+.
