MEDIA

MEDIA Media is the plural form of the word medium. A medium is an instrument or vehicle for communicating a message. Many, however, now use the word media as a collective noun. In society, newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and the Internet are forms of media. Media uses words, images, graphics, and sounds in order to deliver mass communication to society.

MULTIMEDIA Multimedia is the use of several different media (i.e., text, audio, graphics, video, and/or animation) integrated to convey a single message.

Media Literacy Media literacy is using your comprehension skills to understand, analyze, and evaluate the messages in mass communication such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and the Internet. These messages are constructed of words, images, graphics, and sounds.
