You Will All Do:- English Language English Literature Maths Core Science Additional Science Plus Core PE (not an exam just healthy!) Core RE (1 Lesson per week no-exam) Citizenship (A bit like PSHE but a GCSE at the end)

How many do I choose? You will choose an additional 4 subjects Choose what you are good at and/or what you enjoy Do NOT choose what your mate chooses or what teacher you like

Everyone will have to choose at least ONE of:- Geography Or History A Language Triple Science Computer Science

Triple Science means:- You don’t do Core/Additional Science you study 3 GCSEs:- GCSE Biology GCSE Physics GCSE Chemistry 9 lessons per week and 9 exams at the end

Ebacc English- Maths – Science History or Geography A Language Not a qualification It is a collection of academic subjects “Enablers” – They enable you to apply for anything and give you the widest choice post-16 English- Maths – Science History or Geography A Language

Other subjects you can choose: Computer Science ICT Business Studies Music Art – Fine Art Art – Textiles Art – Graphics Food Child Development Drama Dance PE GCSE BTEC Sport RE Geography History Triple Science French German

Pathways Ebacc – for students who want to choose a language and either history or geography. Anyone can choose this but it is most suitable for students with one eye on university. Ebacc is NOT a qualification. Pathway B – This will be most students and gives you a largely free choice f subjects but you do HAVE TO choose 1 Ebacc subject. Pathway C – This is just for a handful of subjects who may find a diet of 9 highly academic GCSEs too demanding and would be better suited to a more vocational mix. You will still do at least 6 academic GCSEs on this pathway. We will suggest a pathway to you but that isn’t final and you can make a case to change pathway with you form teacher.
