Snapshot of Key Economic Indicators Property Taxes Net up 3.8% over FY2013-14 Sales Taxes Up 8% over same period prior year Building Permit Fees Down 8% over same period prior year Utility User Taxes Down 0.4% over same period prior year “Hotel” Tax (TOT) Up 17% over same period prior year Unemployment Regional Unemployment Down City Expenditures Under Budget (Through Mid-Year) Although Property tax has a 3.2% net taxable value increase, the state take away of tax increment funds relate to Redevelopment has decreased compared to 1st qtr FY2012-13.
