Did you bring a backpack? WHY? Stop doing that! I’m kidding. But, seriously, stop bringing it. You can bring a backpack AFTER you get a locker. Leave any backpacks here and get them BEFORE connections. Go get your breakfast NOW. Do not wait. Breakfast is over at 9:15.

Warm Up: READ and follow the directions. Be sure to FOLD your paper BEFORE you begin. Complete the “How Many Ways Are You Smart?” sheet. Don’t forget to turn in any parent homework.

Language Arts – Work Session 08/05/15 Step 1: Fold your construction paper in half. Step 2: Fold two sheets of notebook paper in half and place them inside your construction paper to create a four-page book. Step 3: Staple the pages together to form your book. Step 4: Create a cover with a title and your name. Step 5: Using our classroom rules, re-write the rules using your own words so that even a 4-year-old would understand. Each rule should have its own page. Be sure to use the front and the back of each page. Save rule #9 for later. Step 6: Rule 9 should be placed on the inside of the back cover. AFTER you have completed your rules, you may illustrate them.

Sharpen pencils before or after class only. Throw trash away before or after class only. No paper balls! Once you are prepared, immediately begin the Bell Ringer/Warm Up. Always raise your hand to speak. No food, drink, or gum is allowed in the classroom. Be respectful of yourself and of others. Enjoy each and every day to your fullest potential.
