Q = words you have questions about
H = words you’ve heard of, but don’t fully understand
T = words you know so well, you could teach

Rewrite your group’s assigned bullet point IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Hint: Replace the verbs. You can use the dictionary or thesaurus if you do not know what the words mean.
Once you have your assigned bullet point rewritten, raise your hand to have it checked.
Then, you will write it on a sentence strip.

You must read at least 3 books this nine weeks and complete the corresponding book recommendation.
You will have time in class to read, but you could also read on your own, too.
You may certainly read more to earn more points!

Choose one of the following topics and write at least one paragraph (5 complete sentences) about it.
If you could go back in time to witness any event in history, what would it be?  Why? What would you do?
If you could invent something, what would it be? How would you create it?
If you met a genie, what would your three wishes be? Why?
If you had a super power, what would it be? What would you use it to do? Why?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? What is your plan to reach those goals?
Free write about a topic of your choice.
