A program of family & Children services The LGBTQ Youth Space A program of family & Children services

Who We Are & Who We’re For Established in 2008, the LGBTQ Youth Space is a program under Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley. We provide a safe and confidential drop-in center and free counseling services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and ally youth & young adults ages 13-25, living in Santa Clara County. In addition to serving the LGBTQ community at large, we are committed to providing inclusive & accessible programming for youth & young adults in the following communities: those who are homeless, trans & gender-expansive youth, those in the foster care system, people of color, and those with disabilities.

Drop-In Center Open Mon – Fri, 3pm – 9pm Weekly support groups & workshops Special events Peer staff mentors Access to community resources Volunteer opportunities Amenities including: Board games Video games Pool Table Free snacks Computers with internet access Free shelf with clothing & toiletries Free safer sex supplies

Counseling Services No cost! Individual weekly therapy for people ages 13-25 Licensed and license-track MFT providers Medi-Cal priority No one is turned away for lack of insurance No session cap Services available in English, Spanish & American Sign Language Psychiatry services for our clients also available at no cost To submit a referral to be placed on waitlist, visit our website, call us, or stop by in person.

Outreach & Education Campus visits (middle school, high school & colleges) On-site support groups On-campus weekly group at Independence High LGBTQ cultural awareness trainings & education LGBTQ Youth Speaker’s Bureau Tabling at community events All free of charge!

Teen Health Van Services provided by the Lucille-Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford General health care for homeless & uninsured youth and young adults, age 10-25 Van visits the Youth Space once a month, typically every third Thursday.
