Students develop a business idea from concept to pitch over the three days. Over the weekend you’ll learn the basics of setting up a social enterprise, including idea generation using the social lean canvas, market testing and validation, and how to create impact for users. The bootcamp culminates with a final pitch event to a judging panel, where teams have the opportunity to pitch for a package of funding and follow-on support from the Enterprise team. Makers’ Market: showcasing student entrepreneurs, designers, inventors and crafters from QMUL and part of the larger Festival of Communities run by The Public Engagement Team. Start-Up, Stand-Up: young business people give light-hearted reflections on their road to success, aiming to inspire the audience to start their own businesses.
