Global Precipitation Mission (GPM-BR) Core Satellite Sensor is a Passive Microwave Sensor, Conical Scanning Low inclination Orbit Brazilian- French contribution to GPM constellation INPE – CNES Phase Zero to be concluded in September 2010

GPM – Sensors specification been considered ìn phase Zero Altitude: ~600km Sampling sector: ~130° Antenna size: ~80cm Onboard angle: ~47° (this leads to a incident angle of ~53° on Earth surface, below the Brewster angle) The effective swath would be about 1200km
