Agricultural Improvement By Lucy Huang

Why Were New Improvements Created for China’s Agriculture? China was a huge empire during the Han Dynasty. Because they had so many people to feed, farmers came up with new inventions to make planting and caring for crops easier, thus producing more crops to feed more people.

New Types of Farming Tools Better plows - Allowed for faster plowing, more land cover, and increased crop production Collar harness -Allowed horses to pull heavier loads Wheelbarrow -Easier for farmers to carry heavier loads by hand Watermills -Used river power to grind grain faster
