Collegiate/Professional Section/MAL/Affiliate SWE Leadership Competencies and Positions These examples show some of the many SWE career path options and outline some of the competencies that are needed, and may be developed, in each role. It is important to note: numerous such career paths exist beyond what are shown here, it is not necessary to fill each role in succession (e.g. Senator prior to Committee Chair), many of these competencies can be achieved outside of SWE.
