What happened in the middle of the book? In the middle of the book, Gregory finds out about a burnt down building with chalk and decides to draw on it. What happened at the end of the book? In the end of the book, everyone in room 3 sees the walls with a garden on it and everyone is imprested. When the teachers see they are also imprested. And his parents and his Uncle Max.
