What is Aunt Bertha? Aunt Bertha is an award-winning nationwide social service program directory. Our users and clients are in all 50 states - in the biggest cities - and in the smallest towns. We've been helping hospitals, foundations, clinics, medicaid managed care providers and local non-profits find government and charitable social services for their clients since 2010!

Make electronic referrals Use the Connect button to connect people directly to programs. When you use the connect button: An email is sent to the person you are trying to connect An email is sent to the agency if they have an email address on file The program is tracked in your referral dashboard
Update electronic referrals By clicking on My Referrals you can see different people and a history of the programs you’ve referred them to. When you follow up, you can update the status of the referral The person who was referred can also update the status from their My Referrals dashboard as well!

Keep notes and save favorites Write reviews to remember things about a program like “This food pantry has a lot of fresh produce”. Keep them for yourself, or share them with a group. Save favorites and create resource folders for quick access. Example: a “New Moms” folder with programs like WIC, or ones that offer car seats and baby goods
We find and maintain information AB finds programs through public records Our data team then verifies and publishes the programs We have a target to update programs every six months
Suggest a program or report a change Can’t find a familiar program? Use the Suggest a Program button. Fill out some basic information and our team will do the rest. Find outdated information? Click Report a change and let us know. We’ll investigate and update the listing. For both these requests, we have a target response rate of two business days.
