Early life On October 28, 1955, Gates was born in Seattle, in Washington, United State. When he was 17, Gates had a project with Allen, his friend. He went to Harvard College. After 2 years, he left Harvard.

Philanthropy In 2000, Bill and Melinda, his wife, established a foundation named The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It has contributed 28 billion dollars in charity.
