3. Early life  Bill Gates was born on oct. 28 1955 in Seattle WA  His family was well known in the area.  In 1962 his family visited the worlds fair in Seattle.  Went to the all boys lakeside school.

4. Birth of Microsoft  Bill had to drop out of Harvard to start Microsoft business.  Opens first office in Albuquerque NM.  On Aug. 12 1981 the IBM announced the launch of the personal computer.  In January 1982 apple computer signed a deal with Microsoft to work together.

5. Gate's fortune  By early 1992 bill gates made a fortune of $7 billion making him the richest man in the united states.

6. Gates later years  In 1993 Microsoft becomes the largest computer related company in the world.  Marries Melinda French on the Hawaiian islands.  Windows 95 becomes Microsoft's biggest seller launched.

7. Later years cont.  In 1996 daughter Jennifer Katharine Gates born.  In 1998 the U.S. justice dept. and 20 state attorneys general file a lawsuit against Microsoft for unfair practices.  Son Rory John Gates born in 1999.
