2. Early life:
Bill Gates was born William Henry Gates III on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington.
At the age of 13 gates showed an interest in computer programing at lakeside school.
In 1969 Bill gates and Paul Allan meet for the first time they both had an interest in programing and the emergent market in personal computing.
At the age of 20 Bill Gates and Paul Allan established the company Microsoft with a hyphen in in the middle, the name supported the words Microcomputer and software.

3. Microsoft:
In 1980 Microsoft entered the PC operating system with there own version of UNIX called XENIX.
When preparing to windows xp back in 2001 they had to think of a catchy slogan they eventually settled with “prepare to fly” then… 9/11 happened and the slogan “prepare to fly” was not as catchy anymore because of this Microsoft had to pay over $200 million just change the slogan to “yes you can.”
The operating system windows 8 then it was 8.1 then you would think the next realise to be windows 9, but they realise windows 10… Microsoft official explanation is that that all new realise will have a new version number instead of a name, in other possibility the name windows 9 could cause issues with some legacy applications, thousands of computers could be using code like this. Basically it is cheeking if it has a 9 in the name therefore it is ether windows 95 or windows 98, this would completely corrupt this system.
Microsoft first major brake though was the arrival of MS-DOS, after a few years battling against IBM PC DOS Microsoft came out as the leading provider.

4. Facts about Bill Gates:
In 1970, at the age of 15, Bill Gates went into business with Paul Allen. They developed "Traf-o-Data," a computer program that monitored traffic patterns in Seattle, and netted $20,000 for their efforts.
In any website eg: twitter and Facebook, they have a default avatar it is mainly just a silhouette of some body but in outlook (2010) it is a silhouette of Bill Gates in 1971 when he was arrested for speeding and driving without a licence.
Much of the personal computer enthusiasts were people not in it for the money. They felt the ease of reproduction and distribution allowed them to share software with friends and fellow computer enthusiasts. Bill Gates thought differently. He saw the free distribution of software as stealing, especially when it involved software that was created to be sold.
With his acumen for software development and a keen business sense, Gates placed himself as the head of Microsoft, which grossed $2.5 million in Gates was only 23.

In 1985 Microsoft realised a graphical extension to MS-DOS it was almost going to called interface manger but the head of marketing persuaded Bill Gates to call it windows instead, at first windows was not that popular and rival company apple took over but this would change.
Leading up to the release of windows 95, three Microsoft employees Craig Isler, Eric Angstrom and Alex st John created DirectX this allowed 3D games to run on PCs without having to make version for each possible graphics card.
Bill Gates was married in January 1994 to Melinda French Gates and they have two children.
Bill Gates is interested as well in bio technology, he is investing money in protein-based and small-molecule therapeutics.
Did you know that Bill Gates has a charity called the Gates foundation. Luckily all this money and power is in good hands.
