Energistics Standards Advisory Council Energistics Annual Member Meeting Peter Larabee Houston, Texas SAC Member 8 March 2007 ExxonMobil

Background To achieve stated ENERGISTICS goals, the Board of Directors authorized forming the Standards Advisory Council (SAC) to act in partnership with ENERGISTICS to assist in the identification and prioritization of opportunities. The SAC will help evaluate potential opportunities and identify and secure appropriate resources.

Mission The mission of the Standards Advisory Council is: To assist ENERGISTICS in continuous delivery of business value to its members To promote the interests of ENERGISTICS within the upstream oil and gas industry and its extended community

Scope The scope of the Standards Advisory Council is: Evaluate and provide feedback on current and proposed products and services Identify emerging needs in business processes and information standards Help identify new opportunities for ENERGISTICS and assist in setting development priorities Define high-level requirements for new products / services and participate in the development and piloting of new offerings

Strategic Roadmap - Draft SAC considered elements of a strategic roadmap for the ENERGISTICS community Theme of the roadmap is “Operational Efficiency”, multi-dimensional and broadly-defined WITSML and PRODML seen as critical in the short-run GUWI project viewed as important, with potential eventual implications for master data management E&P Catalog Standards (and dictionary) seen as potentially high-value project for 2008 Common industry web services
