The narrator is walking along a road The narrator is walking along a road. The road reaches a point where it splits into two roads. One road is more popular than the other. The narrator looks at each road and chooses the one that is less popular. The narrator thinks this is an important decision.

This poem is very meaningful to me because I too have chosen the less popular option. When Frost speaks of the road he is using figurative language to refer to life’s journey. When the road splits he has to make a decision about the direction of his life. Although one path is more popular than the other he follows his heart. I think there is a lot for people to learn from this poem: following your instincts is often the best decision.
