Mrs. Holloway’s Classroom News Scholastic book orders are due 2/19!! If you would like to order online so that you may use your debit/credit card please let me know! Book clubs started today! Your student has chosen a nonfiction book for this nine weeks. Today, they received their packets. These packets will be due the Monday before the end of the nine weeks. Your student will be given 40 minutes a week in class to work on these packets. If they wish, they may also work on them at home. This week (February 8th-11th) your student will be reading how ideas about sweets have changed over time by reading a delightful article about the history of candy in America Standards: RI 7.1, RI 7.3, RI 7.4, RI 7.5, RI 7.9 Vocabulary: remedy, palatable, smuggle, accumulate, luxury, plethora Homework: Your student received a homework review sheet today. It has all the homework for the week on it. Each night, your student should be answering the four questions for that night. This sheet is also available for download on my teacher website should your student lose it.
