Chinese INVENTIONS By NICO PALAZZI

Introduction Have you ever worn silk? Do you wonder who invented it? Well you will find out by reading this article.

Paper Do you know who invented paper. Well it was the Chinese. Nobody really knew who was the first to invent the written language. The Chinese invented toilet paper with the help of paper. In the army they would wear toilet paper as protection. It stopped arrows from killing people. A man who was a servant for the queen named Cai Lun invented paper. It took 100 years before people began to write on it.

SILK Silk was a very important invention to China. It was created by a silk worm. Many other countries loved silk. Silk was a secret on how to make it from the other countries. If you found out how to make silk and shared the secret your punishment would be death. When other countries saw silk they would trade it.

Printing Printing was another one of Chinas famous and important inventions. First the Chinese used woodblock printing. A man named Bi Sheng invented a new method of printing.

Fireworks Do you like fireworks . Did you know the Chinese invented them. The Chinese are experts on making fireworks. In ancient China fireworks were made to scare away enemies and horses in battle. Chinese believe that fireworks will scare evil spirits away.

Gunpowder Gunpowder was one of the greatest inventions of China. Also most famous. Gunpowder was accidentally invented by the Chinese. Chinese inventors were trying to invent a medicine that would make people immortal. Instead they invented gunpowder.
