Mission: GlobeMed aims to strengthen the movement for global health equity by empowering students and communities to work together to improve the health of the impoverished around the world.

GlobeMed’s National Office coordinates and supports the network of chapters 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation started in 2002 at Northwestern University Train students to become advocates for global health Partner chapters with grassroots organizations to address health inequities in impoverished communities Grow the movement for global health equity

Chapters partner directly with a grassroots health organization working in communities around the world Northwestern University- H.O.P.E. Center in Ho, Ghana Raised money to build new pathology lab to test for malaria and HIV Supports an ongoing child nutrition project Helped create new adolescent sexual health resource center at clinic Penn State University- EAPSEC in Chiapas, Mexico Supports “Health Promoter Network” by funding training conferences for community health workers, the main source of medical care in Chiapas. H.O.P.E. Center

More about our partner! Partner: Kallpa Iquitos Location: Iquitos, Peru History: Kallpa is based in the city of Lima and was founded on August 26,1990. Founded by a group of health professionals who were concerned bout improving the health conditions of adults and children studying in public schools in Peru. Mission: Kallpa believes that understanding human development isthe basis for improving the living conditions of disadvantaged populations in Peru.
