Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe 1. Combine the following in a 5 quart mixing bowl: ¼ cup margarine ¼ cup shortening ½ cup brown sugar ¼ cup granulated sugar
2. Measure and stir into another bowl: 1 ¼ cups flour ½ t baking soda ¼ t salt Mix the dry ingredients in step 2 with the combined mixture in step 1 until well-mixed.

Temperature and Time 6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Portion dough onto ungreased cookie sheets. 7. Flatten cookies with palm of your hand or mallet. 8. Bake 10-12 minutes.
Finishing After removing cookies from oven, let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes to set. Remove with metal cookie turner and place on wax paper to cool completely.
Yield: about 2 dozen 2”cookies
