2 Fortune Cookie Ingredients:
1 egg white ¼ cup sugar 1 Tbsp. Water 2 Tbsp. Melted margarine ¼ tsp. Vanilla 1/3 c. Flour Dash of salt

3 Write different fortunes on 12 strips of paper.
Directions: Write different fortunes on 12 strips of paper. Separate 1 egg. Put the yolk and the white into separate containers. Cover the yolk with plastic wrap and label with Kitchen # and Class period.

4 Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Put into a medium sized bowl: 1 egg white and ¼ c. sugar and mix. Add and mix: 1 Tbsp. Water, 2 Tbsp. Melted margarine, and ¼ tsp. Vanilla.

5 Add and stir 1/3 c. flour and a dash of salt.
Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto parchment lined cookie sheets. Swirl the batter around with the back of a spoon until cookies are spread very thinly and are almost transparent.

6 Bake 5-7 minutes until lightly browned at edges.
Turn off oven!!! Remove cookie sheets. Take off 1 cookie each group member. Return the cookie sheets to the oven to prevent the remaining cookies from sticking. Leave the oven door open!!!!!

7 Place a fortune in the center of each cookie
Place a fortune in the center of each cookie. Fold the cookie in half and bend it slightly in the middle to make a half-moon shape. Hold for a few seconds to allow it to cool into shape. Repeat above procedure to remaining cookies.

9 Ingredients: 1 Tbsp. Margarine ½ C. long grain rice 1 egg 1 C. water
¼ tsp. Salt Dash of Pepper 2 tsp. Soy sauce ½ C. long grain rice 1 C. water ½ tsp. Salt 2 strips of bacon 1 green onion

10 Directions: Put in a large pan: ½ c. rice, 1 c. water, and ½ tsp. Salt. Cover pan with a lid and put on high heat until water reaches a vigorous boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook, covered, minutes until rice is soft and tender. DO NOT STIR WHILE RICE IS COOKING!!!!!

11 Put cooked rice into a small bowl. Cover with wrap
Put cooked rice into a small bowl. Cover with wrap. Label with Kitchen number and class period. Cook in a frying pan over medium heat or microwave 1 min per slice of bacon on a microwave safe plate with paper towel below bacon.

12 Drain Bacon on paper towels. Let Cool. Crumble into fine pieces

13 Pour egg mixture into the skillet
Pour egg mixture into the skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes, breaking the egg into small pieces. Set aside on plate when cooked. In frying pan heat: 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil: add cooked rice, chopped green onion, crumbled bacon, and cooked egg. Cook until rice is thoroughly heated about 2 – 3 minutes. Add 2 tsp. Soy Sauce and mix well. Clean up.
