MOVE YOUR MIND! YOUR BODY WILL FOLLOW. How to motivate young people to prioritize active exercise and healthy lifestyle before wasting time on social networks. Created by Megija Naudiša

As we know… A large number of young people prefer time spent on social networks before active exercise, healthy lifestyle and real social experience with their friends. This habit brings us to the much more serious problem which is increasing obesity of young people and associated diseases.

Who are young people? Visualisers Young Ambitious Curious

Intro… If we want to change young people's minds, we should remember about these aspects: young, ambitious, curious and visualisers.

Mostly we forget about one aspect - visualisation Mostly we forget about one aspect - visualisation. Why it is so important? More popular becomes apps like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter... Mostly people are looking for images. Why? When a human being sees a image, he/she can get inspired, motivated to start do something.

What social networks have? Information about other people/friends. Not a communication, but information.

But are young people active? More popular becomes apps about health and fitness. Those apps have many users, especially youth love to use these apps. Many of youth stick to fitness plans, but many of them fails. Young people's role in society is not inactive and lazy as many people think. They actually care most about their weight and health than any other peoples in their age categories. Where's the problem? Lack of motivation.

How this information can help? Create an mobile app, which could be used in computer too. Adidas have created an app «Adidas train & run», which have something common with my idea. App «Adidas train & run» is only based on - to motivate people run. Latest data shows, that world population is more than 7.4 billion. That's a lot. Not everyone of them would love to run. Some of them would love to do pilates, yoga, tabata workouts etc. Not always people's are looking for a coach which suggests an app «Adidas train & run». If they are doing some kind of sort activities, they know what they do - that's in most situations.

Project which should include... Perfect app, which could motivate young people to prioritize active exercise and healthy lifestyle before wasting time on social networks should include information about friends/other people. It should be like a social network which could work in mobile app & computer. Various activities, which people could select. How long does it took, how they feel (mood). Motivational pictures, which are created by company and also people can add theirs. Chatting (messaging) with friends. If this will be included in app, this can replace any of social network. Chatting. Why it is important? Whenever and whatever people do, communication is important.

Sharing pictures with friends. People tend to compare themselves Sharing pictures with friends. People tend to compare themselves. They like to show others what they have done. If it was not showed somewhere or they haven't checked in map, the haven't been there. Some before & after stories which will be created by users. Checking user's own information - weight, height, age, location. Weight. «Start weight» and every week updated «current weight». Why every week not everyday? And why it is important? Eating disorders are more likely young people to have who are checking their weight everyday. Progress and results is a good motivation to keep going.

Could it be possible in one tool? If that would be possible, "MyFitnessPal" would be more popular than they are now. They fail at mobile app. "MyFitnessPal" needs too much phone storage. Motivation to download that app - lost.

Social network should include… Information about friends/other people. Various activities, which people could select. Motivational pictures. Messaging. Sharing pictures. Before & after stories. User's own information.

Mobile app should include… To not fail like a "MyFitnessPal", app should not take too much phone storage. Mobile app should include - what of kind of activities they have done, how long time it took, what's their mood, picture sharing, motivation of the day. Good app would be a "co" app which would be based on food and water. Why? Abs are made in kitchen.

Never forget - youth are visualisers. Human need to see progress. Other people and their own. Project should not be boring. It need to have fun design. Every kind of activities should be fun and inspiring to keep going. Of course, it's a huge project to create a social network and mobile app, but it would be worth it. What could be better than a situation where a social network and app will (full with health) be more popular than a usual social network which is not inspiring to do active exercises. Social networks are now a big part of our lives. We can only change youth attention into healthy lifestyle side...

Visualisers. This presentation would be boring without pictures Visualisers. This presentation would be boring without pictures. So why some of people should love app which looks too professional..

If you want to make an impact on young people lives, let everyone to make a change.

Thank you for your attention!
