An example of such a network would be LinkedIn, which is mainly used for professional networking. LinkedIn sells access to information about its users to recruiters and sales professionals, helping the former get a job.

6. The power of social networks derives from all the things they have to offer that make our lives easier and more enjoyable. We can become so involved in their virtual reality that we forget the real world and slowly and steadily we become addicted to using social networks. Many of them claim to be free, but we don’t realize we actually pay for them with time from our lives. The more users a social network has and the more time they spend on it, the more powerful said social network becomes.

7. In the end, it is up to each of us how and why we use social networks, but it is important to be able to realize when we have a problem and ask for help. Social networks can be a lot of fun, but they also have disadvantages. Responsible use and a reasonable time amount spent on social networks will minimize the risk of becoming addicted to using them.
