2j HUBSConnects Valerie Monaghan Student and Graduate Centre for Professional Success

We are committed to supporting our graduates as they progress their careers following graduation – whatever their location and whatever their area of business. We do this through our HUBSConnects scheme.

HUBSConnects http://www.hubsconnects.me HUBSConnects.me is an online community for students and graduates of Hull University Business School – a bit like LinkedIn but just for the Business School! It allows members to network with fellow HUBS alumni around the world – keeping in touch with former classmates and levering the alumni community to make new connections. Users can sign up using their LinkedIn username and password and create a profile, they can then search for former classmates or graduates from a similar programme, in a similar location etc and can connect with them on LinkedIn without leaving the site. They can search for other alumni willing to offer support in terms of mentoring, career advice and/or introductions and can also offer similar support to other members. (full benefits are on the next slide)
