Vigitron 2015 New HD Product Introduction

Vigitron Quick Facts History: Products Origin: Established as a Design House in 1993 in San Diego, CA Incorporated in 1997 in State of California (San Diego) Products Origin: Products are designed in the USA and manufactured in both the USA and China.

What is unique about Vigitron? Educational white papers Application notes Design center support Project requirements, which provide a systematic layout and bill of materials Customizable products to meet specific application requirements Lifetime warranty + 3 years Testing to network and traffic certification standards Individual camera manufacturing certification Made in American, manufactured to USA quality standards Exceptional & responsive customer service representatives

What is unique about Vigitron? (continued) Offers complete IP infrastructure solutions Supports product performance with documented certification testing Conducts compatibility testing with major IP camera manufacturers Provides free infrastructure design services Provides extended 60W solutions (approved for use with Axis, Bosch, Sony, and Hikvision) Lifetime warranty + 3 years Manufactures and supports in the USA

HD-TVI/CVI/AHD Transmission Advantages Vigitron’s HD-TVI/CVI/AHD Transmission Advantages

Vigitron’s HD-TVI Advantages Ability to transmit HD video over single twisted pair wire Active transmission product line Ability to transmit power over Cat5/6 cables, eliminating the need for local power source Ability to transmit power over coax, eliminating the need for local power source Multi-channel rack mount receivers Ability to run up to 4 cameras on a single CAT-5/6 cable Local delivery and support Lifetime plus 3-year warranty Design Center Services

Bold Statement #1 At this time, there is no commonly agreed “Standard method” for measuring quality for HD video signals. This applies to TVI/CVI and AHD. What is missing from the charts that define quality are the measurements and methods used to establish these claims, along with the type of cable.

Bold Statement #2 Currently there are no standard test equipment or test procedures to compare the HD video quality. All distances are based on self-claimed test and subjective image quality. Since the HD-TVI bandwidth required for 720P and 1080P are identical the performance over same distances are very similar.

Vigitron HD-TVI Video & Power Transmission Coax Capable of carrying both video and power Standard Cat 5e/6 Made up of 4 pairs Capable of carrying up to 4 video

TVI – Why UTP (Single Pair) over Coax Cost (Average costs per foot) RG59 = $0.25 Cat 5e = $0.34 UTP Twisted Pair = $0.10 Standard Cat 5e/6 vs. Coax Cost Established installation base Weight = Approximately 1/3 the weight of coax Ethernet cabling established cable runs = 4 pairs The ability to run 4 cameras on a single Cat 5e cable

Why Use Vigitron Baluns and UTP Multiple camera transmission over Cat5/6 Better noise suppression at lower frequencies Equipment built on Hikvision platform Ability to transmit power over twisted pair Broader product line Built in surge suppression Large established twisted pair installed base- both from analog and IP Warrantied in the United States S/2 S Output M (Noise) -S/2 N (Noise) UNBALANCED INPUT BALANCED SIGNAL over UTP UNBALANCED OUTPUT

What Type of UTP Cable Are You Using to Test Cat 6 has 2.5X the bandwidth at twice the signal strength of Cat 5e. -3db is the half signal point.

The type of Coax Cable makes a Big Difference RG-6 Large core and 2-4 layers of shielding Better for high frequency and long cable runs Used for long range satellite and cable transmission RG-59 Physically better suited for low frequency and short cable runs RG59 is generally used for analog transmission of 4.5Mhz signals over distances of 750 feet Both Have differences in cable resistance and bandwidth which impact performance
