1st grade Comprehension Phonics

Phonics Phonics instruction is to help students decode words. In order for students to understand passages they first need to be able to decode words. Students need to start basic phonics skills and then advance to harder skills. Vowel sounds Constant sounds Long vowel sounds Digraphs Blends

Vowel sounds Objective: To be able to identify short vowel sounds: a, e, ,i , o, u Short vowel lesson/song Short a Short e Short i Short o Short u Short vowel game

Beginning Constants sounds Objective Students will learn constant sounds b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z Click the links to learn! Use picture clues and videos to aid comprehension Recognize beginning consonant sounds Match beginning consonant sounds Beginning and ending constant sounds.
