Introduction Welcome to the course! My name’s Nguyen Thi Phuong Hong. I’m your English teacher. In class, I will speak English all the time. But don’t worry. I will speak English slowly so that you can understand me. If you don’t understand me, You can stop me anytime, and I will say things again.

The course Now, let me tell you about the course. In this course, you’re going to learn English by watching movies. This means you will: Have a lot of chances to hear native speakers. Learn every-day English conversations. Follow a story line. I will help you Hear EVERY WORD they say. Understand WHAT THEY MEAN.

Movies A Cinderella Story (95 minutes, 2005) Bridge to Terabithia (95 minutes, 2004)

Use your own words, imagination, and feelings, etc. How to watch? The whole movie: NO!! Short movie clips: YES. How short? 1-2 minutes long Watch two or three times. Go through the text. Act out (you can improvise, too). Use your own words, imagination, and feelings, etc.
