MURUJUGA’S VISION PHASE 1 BUILD an Iconic Living Knowledge Centre (MLKC) INSPIRATIONAL EXAMPLES ONLY

INSPIRATIONAL EXAMPLES ONLY

THE MURUJUGA LIVING KNOWLEDGE CENTRE Major attraction for day visitors to Murujuga It would be the Central Hub for all activities and attractions, offering a range of options to locals and visitors alike, from providing Visitor Information, cultural tours (land and sea), conference and event facilities, café, art gallery and exhibitions, amphitheatre for cultural yarns and events, retail outlets and much, much more It will provide Access to learn about this special place and its people through Meaningful Interactions with the people that know it best! Improved road and guided track access to the Northern Burrup which will allow the Traditional Owners to protect, manage and monitor this area more effectively

CAMPING with CUSTODIANS PHASE 2 Nestled in the sand dunes among the spinifex would be an Eco Accommodation Camp Deluxe eco tents Self provision Camping facilities Our local aboriginal hosts will share with you their dreamtime stories, teach their crafts and prepare bush tucker on the beach campfire Both foundation initiatives of the MLKC and CWC are complimentary to each others commercial viability

THE TRANSFORMATIONAL PROJECTS OTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES THE JETTY A Recreational Jetty at Conzinc Bay would provide the following: Would allow tourists and locals to arrive by BOAT The Murujuga Rangers would be provided with a more accessible launch point for guided tours for visitors and guests to explore one of the 42 Islands of Dampier Archipelago Due to the expansion upgrade plans already underway at Dampier marina, this would create the potential to attract cruise ships to the harbour, inturn creating a new market for tourism products to be delivered from Conzinc Bay

ICONIC ENTRANCE & SIGNAGE THE ENTRANCE Creating an iconic entry statement that reflects the significance of Murujuga would create a sense of excitement and true appreciation upon entering the National Park THE SIGNAGE Carrying that signage through the park to highlight, inform and direct visitors will provide a sense of direction and accountability for this culturally sensitive and important area while they are visiting.

NATIONAL PARK ENTRANCE

THE CONCEPT SKETCH PHASE 1 & 2

THE JOURNEY AND HOW YOU CAN HELP? The MLKC has been a dream of the 5 language groups of MURUJUGA for many years now MAC is currently undertaking its feasibility and business case for Phase 1 and 2 at CONZINC BAY, with the help of Pilbara Development Commission MAC has the commitment and support from government and industry stakeholders [City of Karratha, Woodside, Pilbara Development Commission etc.] as this TRANSFORMATIONAL PROJECT strongly aligns itself with the objectives and priorities of the Pilbara Regional Investment Blueprint.
