Main themes and objectives Easyconnecting Project Koper (Slovenia), 9th June 2016 WP4-WP6-WP7 Main themes and objectives Integrating and upgrading existing multimodal freight transport services Gain specific common guidelines to develop sustainable freight transports, based on multi-modal choices, through cross border cooperation agreements for harmonized freight transport policies and services. In depth analysis of existing bottlenecks, of O/D flows. WP5-WP7 Developing new and modernize existing multimodal physical and non physical infrastructure Identify the punctual (micro) investments needed to overcome those limitations especially in ports of the Adriatic area in order to verify their potential development in freight transport services. Analysis of the current limitations of the transport network WP3-WP5-WP6 Stimulating institutional cooperation and capacity building Capitalization of previous experiences in the Adriatic area and shared among partners and stakeholders and signing of MoUs/Position Papers to be disseminated by the Partnership at different institutional level. Project’s structure Sustainability of results Easyconnecting Project Koper (Slovenia), 9th June 2016 Project’s structure WP 3 - Capitalization and sustainability Capitalizing previous experiences on projects, actions and policy initiatives on multimodal and sustainable transport solutions feeding part of WP4, 5 and 6 but also building results for long lasting effects for future cooperation WP 5 - Capacity Building and improvement of competences Working on non infrastructural bottlenecks by enhancing skills, knowledge and cooperation of public and private stakeholders in transport and logistics sector. WP 4 - Enhancement and integration of multimodal freight transport solutions in the IPA area Defining main bottlenecks/deficiencies of infrastructures and services proposing new multimodal and sustainable measures aimed at spurring logistics chains both from a services and governance perspective WP 6 - Stimulating and improving ports info standards Harmonizing port maritime services with ICT technologies to improve safety, security and mobility of freight transports. EASYCONNECTING & EUSAIR (II PILLAR) Topic 1 Maritime transport Easyconnecting Project Koper (Slovenia), 9th June 2016 EASYCONNECTING & EUSAIR (II PILLAR) Topic 1 Maritime transport To strengthen maritime safety and security and develop a competitive regional 
intermodal port system (3 actions) Topic 2 - Intermodal connections to the hinterland To develop reliable transport networks and intermodal connections with the hinterland, both for freight and passengers (6 actions) Cross Cutting issues Strengthening Institutional and administrative capacity for effective coordination at macro-regional level, for coordination in different fields of interventions in order to rise Capacity building to help joint planning, financing and implementation of actions. It should aim, first and foremost, to booster macro-regional thinking involving stakeholders in the decision-making process in order to make them contributing and benefiting from innovative approaches. EASYCONNECTING & EUSAIR (II PILLAR) Easyconnecting Project Koper (Slovenia), 9th June 2016 EASYCONNECTING & EUSAIR (II PILLAR) Correlation with EASYCONNECTING on the coordinated approach that holds together the infrastructure topic with softer aspects related to innovation and the competitiveness of multimodal services Correlation with EASYCONNECTING on the macro-regional perspective essential to promote the development and the sustainable connection between transport networks The cross-border approach is underlined trough the idea of the MACRO AREAS (3) with different needs which will report detailed information on position papers to be forwarded to institutional stakeholders at EU/EC level.
