INTRODUCTION QS Graduate Employability Ranking A new type of ranking – pilot edition published in 2015 Measures commitment and effectiveness of a university in preparing students for the work place. Which universities are best at creating student – employer connections? Which claim the most impressive alumni outcome, or the strongest among employers?

5 INDICATORS USED FOR QS GE RANKING DEFINITION & WEIGHTING 5 INDICATORS USED FOR QS GE RANKING INDICATOR DEFINITION % Employer reputation Measured using a global survey, in which graduate employers are asked to identify the institutions producing the best graduates in their field.  30 Alumni outcomes  QS has sourced the alma maters of those included in 61 lists of highly successful individuals. QS analyzed the educational pathways of 21,000 of the world’s most innovative, creative, wealthy, entrepreneurial, and/or philanthropic individuals, to establish which universities are producing world-changing graduates. 20

DEFINITION & WEIGHTING INDICATOR DEFINITION % Employer Partnerships Number of joint research papers indexed by Scopus. Employment-related partnerships not related to research are also considered. Second, scores are adjusted in proportion to the number of faculty members employed. 25 Employer-student connections  Number of employers who are actively present on a university’s campus, providing motivated students with an opportunity to network and acquire information. 15 Graduate employment rate Measures the proportion of graduates (excluding those opting to pursue further study or unavailable to work) in full- or part-time employment within 12 months of graduation. 10

For on-campus promotion: …EMPLOYER’S CONNECTION Detail definitions: For on-campus promotion: Specify title of the talk or recruitment fair by attaching files and/or links to such events. General marketing actions or events covering any other general topic will not be accepted. The talk/event needs to be about the company as a potential/actual employer. Recruitment fairs off-campus will not be considered. Access to the intranet of events of your institution for validation.

Online talks/events/webinars will be accepted. …EMPLOYER’S CONNECTION Detail definitions (cont.): For online promotion: Online talks/events/webinars will be accepted. It is a requirement that the promotional activity was delivered via an official institutional website or via an intranet exclusive for students/graduates of the university. It is not necessary to mention more than once each company. If the promotion activities were held both online and on-campus, please repeat the same partnership twice and validate both events.

UiTM Definition for last reporting year: 2) EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIPS Number of distinct NON-GOVERNMENTAL companies/organisations that currently have active partnership agreements with your university to provide internships or work placement opportunities exclusively to your students/graduates. State-owned enterprises are acceptable. …EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIPS Detail definitions: Please provide links for the partnership webpage of your university or a relevant annual report that presents evidence of the existence of such partnership. Possible partnerships may include internship offers, fast track job applications, summer internship offers, work placement opportunities, graduate scheme vacancies. Exclude research-only and promotional partnerships (only for banner-ads, promotional materials on campus, etc). Internships are work experiences: 8 hours per week, for a minimum period of 4 weeks.
