Survey done by the Department of Health and Children Results: 29% of 13 year olds ( 1st and 2nd years) are only doing the required amount of exercise (1 hour each day). 13% of 15 year olds (3rd and Transition years) are doing 1 hour of exercise a day.

“I’m not doing it because none of my friends are” WHY? “I’m not doing it because none of my friends are” - 2nd year student.

When asked would they like to exercise more In 1st year out of 41 surveyed 90% said they want to do more exercise. In 2nd year out of 35 surveyed 83% said they want to do more exercise. In 3rd year out of 46 surveyed 91% said they want to do more exercise. Out of all 142 students 88% said they would like to do more exercise.
