That’s right! Common Era! B.C.E and C.E. The individuals who created the system of B.C. and A.D. were Christian scholars. Today, a new system has been created that is not religious in nature. The important thing to remember is that the dates are exactly the same. B.C. (before Christ) is referred to as B.C.E. (before Common Era). A.D. (anno Domini) is referred to as C.E. What do you think C.E. is? That’s right! Common Era!
