John 14:8-9 (NASB) 8  Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9  Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

Why Jesus Became a Man Show Us the Father Jesus came to reveal His Father to us – John 14:8-9. Jesus is God in a body! If you want to know God, then you need to know Jesus. Therefore, the only way to God is through His only Son, Jesus.

Why Jesus Became a Man Save Us From Our Sins There had to be a God-Man in order to save us from our sins. Jesus left heaven to take on flesh and blood so we could be reconciled to the Father – 1 Timothy 1:15.

Hebrews 4:15-16 (NASB) 15  For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Sympathize With Our Weaknesses Why Jesus Became a Man Sympathize With Our Weaknesses Jesus became a man so we could know that He understands us – Heb. 4:15-16. Jesus not only hears us, but He understands our needs, heartaches, and troubles. Jesus also has experienced our temptations and yet has triumphed so that we can triumph also.
